Hooker's Lips - Amazing Flower

Psychotria Elata Affectionately known as Hooker’s lips, Psychotria elata with it’s colorful red flowers attracts many pollinators including butterflies and hummingbirds. Also known in some circles as Mick Jagger’s lips. Native to Tropical America, this specimen was found at the Butterfly Gardens in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.

The Monkey Orchid

This is the rare Monkey Orchid, found only in high elevations of Ecuador and Peru. The primate-esque flowers are formally known as Dracula Simia. Only a few lucky collectors have been able to get an up-close look in real life.

The Monkey Orchid grows at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters above sea level.

The flower is famous for smelling like oranges.
